Administration Joomla! 4.x • cache auto purge

Hello community I recently had a problem with my Joomla site, with cache reaching more than 30 GB. The hosting did not inform until I was out of the storage space included in the plan. I was not purging the cache regularly, since in more than 10 years I'm using Joomla thsi never happened to me.
It seems everything correlated to a very popular extention, Jevents, 25 Gb of Cache were indeed in the Jevents folder.
When I started with Jevents years ago I excluded all the pages under jevents from indexing, in order to avoid these kind of problems since potentially there is a page for each day of the year. Anyway something happened.
in that folder I had files very old, from February

While I'll investigate with Jevents if anything strange happened due to one of my configuration I had a very had time fixing the problem, since the page related to cache in the admin center was giving me 500 error, even if I raised the total exection time of php to 5 minutes or more. I ended up deleting manually thru ftp. Once I got rid of the Jevent cache folder I was able to purge the cache from the page.

The question is: is there any system to autopurge the cache? I found in the documentation this https://docs.joomla.org/Purging_expired_cache_files
but the problem there is no garbagecron.php file in the CLI folder, even in a freshly donwloaded copy of Joomla. So I'm a bit confused. Any suggestion please about having a script that purge the expired cache ? Thank you!
