Hi. I also got this error when trying install from the web. But when I downloaded file hcaptcha-j4-1.4.3.zip and then used Upload & Install Joomla Extension it installed without error on Joomla ‎5.1.2
After installing don't forget Enable Plugin and enter yours Site Key and Secret key, then choose it as default captcha in global configuration and its works 100 %

I tried HCaptcha but its not compatible with Joomla5.

I'm the developer of that extension and have not yet tested it with Joomla 5 yet.

Did you get an error when you used it in Joomla 5?
Or where you not able to install that plugin?

Thanks for this extension - its working on Joomla ‎5.1.2
